Excerpt from Out of the Box 8

Humming quietly in approval, he wrapped his arms around me and found my dress’ zipper in the back. I let him pull it completely down before I clucked my tongue reproachfully.

“Awfully bold of you to think you can undress a master vampire without making the proper offerings first.”

He blinked in surprise, and I decided that I wanted to see his eyes without the interference of the glasses anymore. I pulled them off his nose and dropped them on the carpet onto his vest.

“What…offerings are we talking about?” he asked, his fingers tracing a sensual line on my back along the opened zipper.

Cover for Out of the Box 7Her last encounter with Anando left Virginia with questions she barely knows how to voice. She enjoyed being the focus of two men’s attentions, but Leo’s need to obtain permission from his lover to be with her puzzles her.

Why would anyone choose to place themselves so completely in someone else’s power, she asks Anando. His hands-on demonstration answers her question – along with a few more she did not dare ask.

Excerpt from Out of the Box 7

I did as he said, more aware now that I didn’t have the protection of the jacket anymore that I had never worn so little in public. It felt as though all eyes were on me.

“Good girl,” Anando murmured as though guessing I needed to be reassured. “Now go down to the dance floor. I want to see you dance in this dress.”

I almost started asking him if he would dance with me, and remembered at the last second that he hadn’t asked me a question. I managed, also, not to look around for him. I knew he had to be there, very close, and just seeing his eyes would have helped me go on, like his voice had. I breathed in deeply as I moved over to the staircase and started walking down to the lower level of the club. I kept repeating to myself that I needed to follow his voice, and that nothing else but his voice existed. The people around me, the eyes following my path, were of no consequence. My own desires were secondary. Anando would take care of them, and me.

Out of the Box 6

Cover for Out of the Box 6 Despite her fears and reservations, through all their encounters, Virginia has never said no to Anando. This time, though, when she arrives early and is approached by Lisa and Brett, then when Anando makes her dance with Brett while he dances with Lisa, she guesses that he wants them, or one of them, to join them in bed.

This, she tells him, she won’t do – she won’t sleep with someone she feels nothing for.

As it turns out, however, it’s someone else Anando has in mind, someone that Virginia is attracted to…

Excerpt from Out of the Box 6

“It was all very well orchestrated,” I said, the words bittersweet on my tongue. “Having me talk to them, and share a drink, and even dancing… But I’m not interested. Not in either of them. And you can’t make me sleep with them.”

That last claim was no louder than a whisper, but Anando heard it; the way his eyebrows rose made it quite clear.

“When did I ever force you to do something you didn’t want to?” he asked, and now he sounded hurt.

I didn’t have to think before I answered. I dropped my eyes to my glass and raised it to my mouth. I returned it to the coaster without doing more than touch my lips to the wine. “Never.”

Excerpt from Out of the Box 5

“So tell me, dear Virginia. Have you thought of what game you want to play tonight?” I pulled back to give him a coy little smile. Resting a hand on his chest, I raised myself up on my toes to reply in his ear. “I might have.”

“Can I get a hint?”

I pretended to think about it. “No, no hint. You’ll have to wait.”

He asked again while driving us to his home, but I still refused to answer. The truth was, I knew what I wanted to pull from his toy box, but I couldn’t bear to pronounce the words. Continue reading…

Excerpt from Out of the Box 4

I’ve finally admitted to myself that I am addicted. That’s the first step, I have heard. But how could I not be? With every new night we spend together, Anando keeps surprising me, thrilling me, enthralling me. More than that, though, he keeps seducing my body and my mind, without even trying. He keeps changing what I felt the first time I saw him—pure, raw lust—into something deeper, something I wasn’t looking for when I first went to On The Edge. Something that I never would have expected to find with a vampire. Something that, in all truth, I’m not ready for.

I pulled some surprising answers from him when he put himself beneath my rule, and I decided to take some time to think about all of it, about him and me and what I wanted from our escapades. Anando, though, had other plans.

“What is it?”

I tried to deny something was wrong, but I could see that he wouldn’t accept anything other than simple truth. So, once more, I yielded to him, and told him how I felt about surrendering so completely.

“Don’t get me wrong,” I amended my words when he started frowning. “I enjoyed what we did. I enjoyed it a lot. But the feelings it leaves me with are less pleasant. I do not like to see this weakness in me.”

The frown disappeared and his eyes widened at my words. “Weakness?” he repeated. “You think giving control to someone else makes you weak?”

Excerpt from Out of the Box 2

I arrived at On The Edge early, barely after sunset, and although there were already people on the dance floor, the crowd was nothing compared to what I had seen the previous week. I ordered a cocktail at the bar on the ground level and went down one staircase to stand on one of the suspended bridges. I sipped on the drink slowly, my eyes on the dancers beneath me but I wasn’t really seeing them. Instead, I was remembering, yet again, what had happened on that night a week earlier, how Anando had reached toward me, what it had been like to dance with him, what his hands had felt like on me, first on the dance floor, then when he had taken me home and undressed me. The white chest. The toys. The scarves. His cock. His fangs.

“Would you like to play?” he murmured. His voice was pure sin.

I briefly tightened my hand around his cock. “I thought we were playing already.”

He chuckled quietly at that and pressed his lips to mine. The kiss was hard, almost brutal when he invaded my mouth with his tongue. It turned my knees to jelly and left me breathless, and I had to lean against him for support, trapping his cock between us as I did.

“We can play this game, if you want.” His words were a caress against my cheek. “Or we can try something different.”
