Instead of a husband and children however, fate gives her a Sire, a clan, and a village she is sworn to protect from beastly demons. It also gives her Tristen, who teaches her what it means to be a vampire—and what it means to love.
When her duties to her village conflict with her Sire’s orders, she has to choose which part of her family is the most important. And Tristen, confronted with her disappearance, also needs to decide where his loyalties lie.

PROMPT Dear Author, Tell me about a day in the life of this sexbot. Maybe it’s the day he’s first been unpacked and settled into his new home! Maybe it’s sometime after he’s settled into a routine. And what IS that routine, anyway? Is he privately owned? Is he on staff at a sexy high-tech brothel? Has he become self-aware enough to run away from the sexy high-tech brothel and follow his heart circuits in search of a better life and someone who can love a synthetic man?

After a night spent with two vampires – a night that left him sore from a spanking… and more – Tyler tries to sneak out without disturbing them. Doing so, he earns himself another punishment from Master vampire Alan. Only after a new spanking does he have permission to leave, as well as permission to return later in the day.
Before dealing with Tyler, Alan ordered his Childe Jeremy not to intervene. Jeremy, however, can’t stand being left out and breaks his Sire’s orders. His punishment, although entirely different from Tyler’s, turns out to be just as agonizing, especially when Alan draws a painful confession from him.
It all started as one night, but all three men were quick to decide they wanted more. For that, they’ll have to be honest with each other and themselves and together figure out the rules of this new game…
For Christmas, Nathan has the perfect gift for Joshua, his best friend and sometimes lover: his magic. Ever since Nathan found out he had magical abilities, Joshua has supported him, encouraging him to cultivate his talent, so that Nathan is now the resident mage of the local Special Enforcer agency that employs both of them. Joshua, however, doesn’t have a trace of the talent, however much he wishes he could do magic too.
On a night off, Nathan offers Joshua a way to discover what it feels like to do magic by swapping bodies for a few hours. But before the night is over, their boss calls them both for back up, and the playful spell starts to cast a different light on their relationship. Will they be able to do their job and keep an innocent girl safe while stuck in each other’s skin, or will magic break them apart?
When, after twenty years, Thomas returns to the home he shared with Jim, his mind is filled with memories both sweet and bitter. They were once happy there, but when Jim discovered that Thomas was a wizard, he felt betrayed enough to kick Thomas out of his life.
Jim has now passed away, leaving the house to Thomas, and Thomas soon realizes that he wasn’t the only one who regretted the way they parted. With Halloween strengthening the ghostly presence of Jim in the house, Thomas might just get the chance to say goodbye… or even more.
For Lisa, The Cliff was just one more bar to visit, one more competitor to gauge on her way to opening her own club. The verbal abuse unleashed on her by a patron is unexpected, but not entirely unusual: as a vampire, she has been called worse than ‘killer’ or ‘thing’ before. What is new, on the other hand, is the intervention of the bar’s owner. Lisa isn’t used to humans trying to protect her, and she finds Brett strangely endearing.
For his part, Brett isn’t all that comfortable being around a vampire, but now that he has thrown out the lout who was insulting Lisa, he can hardly ask her to leave. After getting to know her a little, however, he starts seeing the woman beyond the fangs, and when she returns the next night he’s ready to share a dance with her… or even a little more…
As Master vampire Alan returns from a fight against demons, he is furious. His Childe, Jeremy, acted foolishly on the battlefield and was hurt by a demon. For this, Alan will punish him, and Jeremy knows and accepts it, kneeling at his Sire’s feet as soon as he enters their lair. A human accompanied Jeremy home, however: his lover and submissive, Tyler.
Right away, Tyler claims responsibility for Jeremy being wounded and asks to be punished in his place. Alan is initially reluctant to bring a novice into the relationship he shares with Jeremy, but the appeal of playing with a new sub for a night wins him over – and it doesn’t hurt that Jeremy and Tyler look very pretty kneeling next to each other.
Will Tyler endure Jeremy’s punishment until its very end, or will it prove too much for him? And how does Jeremy feel about sharing his lover with his Sire for one night… or maybe more than that?
With the last of her friends gone, Daisy finds herself alone with Sam Woods. After the nine different visions the seer experienced during the evening, he confesses to having trouble differentiating reality from the images of the future he saw. Feeling more comfortable with him than she did at the beginning of the night, Daisy invites him to stay in her guest room.
Troubled as he may be, Sam still hasn’t given up on giving Daisy a vision of her future, haunted by the thought that maybe, just maybe, she is the person whose life will be linked to his – the person he has been looking for in each vision. As they take a stroll on the moonlit beach, he asks her one last time to let him show her future to her. In the end, though, it might be Daisy who offers Sam a vision of his own…
Throughout the evening, the seer Sam Woods has shown Daisy’s friends the choices and partners that will shape their romantic lives. Now that the New Year has come, they celebrate the end of the soiree and take their first steps on a path that will lead all of them to love – and for some of them, to heartache, too.
It was heartache that caused Jack to leave the soiree earlier when he guessed that his girlfriend’s vision showed her a future without him. Now, he returns and asks to see for himself. What he discovers in the vision Woods offers him is the very thing all Special Enforcers fear: his awakening as a vampire. When the opportunity arises to kill Angela, his Sire, will he seize it and avenge his own death, or try to move on toward a future with her?
Daisy’s soiree is slowly winding down: midnight and the New Year are approaching, and most of her friends have received visions of the one choice that will shape their romantic life. With just enough time for one more vision, it is Brad’s turn to go to the seer Sam Woods and get a peek at things to come.
Earlier in the evening, Brad’s girlfriend, Joan, was shown their married life and children, and Brad can’t wait to see what he expects will be the same idyllic future. However, he discovers something else entirely, something that leaves him – and Daisy – shocked and asking questions for which Woods has no good answers.
As the night advances, Daisy starts to feel under pressure. The seer Sam Woods, Daisy’s friends, even her sister all push her into accepting a vision of her romantic future. But Daisy won’t budge: she believes that there are things she shouldn’t know about her own future, and by refusing she clings to the core of who she is.
The core of Rachel’s identity is exactly what comes to light in the vision Woods gives her. She has been living a ‘normal’ life by day, and the life of a BDSM submissive by night, being very careful not to let her two worlds meet. But when, after a night of hard play, her Master offers to push their relationship into the light, making the most important decision of her life is strangely not as difficult as Rachel would have expected.
On the eve of Christmas, Hunter gets a call from his friend Cole and agrees to help him perform a magic ritual. Cole has taught Hunter to do simple magic spells, but Hunter’s feelings for Cole run deeper than friendship and gratitude, even though he doesn’t know if Cole even likes men that way.
Once they are ‘locked’ in the magic circle, though, Cole has to admit that the ritual requires them to be intimate, and he didn’t ask Hunter to help by accident.
